1How can I get a receipt for my journey?

Obtaining a journey receipt is easy:

From the booking tab, click on the link “Manage my orders”.

Next, enter your 6 letter booking reference and the name in which the booking was made then click on “print a journey receipt”.

The journey receipt is in PDF format. To read it you need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 7.0 or later). If you have not yet installed this software you can do so free of charge by clicking here.

Your receipt will be available 24 hours after the arrival of the last leg of your journey.

2My e-ticket won't print. What should I do?

The e-ticket can be printed on a laser or ink jet printer.

Your e-ticket is in PDF format. To read it, you need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 7.0 or later). If you have not yet installed this software you can do so free of charge by clicking here.

Make sure the print quality is good (the bar-code must be legible).

3I have forgotten/lost my e-ticket. What should I do?

Your e-ticket is available on   24/7 up until departure. Go to the "Manage my orders" section.
 
Printing or reprinting of e-ticket confirmation is also possible at a self service booth in a French railway station or at the welcome desk at the station of arrival or departure.

4How do I go about exchanging my e-ticket?

Where applicable, you may exchange your e-ticket up until the train departs, whether you have already printed it or not.

5What is the e-ticket?

The e-ticket is a new way of withdrawing your ticket, proposed by .

You print your train tickets via a computer with an internet connection on a normal printer (A4 format; black and white or colour), at home, at work or wherever else.

You may then board the train with your e-ticket!

You will be requested to prove your ID when your ticket is checked on the train.

This service is available for a selection of destinations in France:

The e-ticket is also available on low rates:
  • 12-25 years card, Senior, or Enfant +
  • TGV Prem's Last Minute, TGV Prem’s Week-End, TGV Prem's Flash Sale
  • TGV Leisure, TGV Leisure Week-end, TGV Pro

6What is the difference between an e-ticket and the Billet Imprimé?

The e-ticket is more flexible than the print-at-home ticket: Depending on your chosen rate, you can exchange your tickets any time.

7How do you book an e-ticket on TGV-Europe.com?

Booking your e-ticket is very simple.

Use the express booking form on the home page and follow the instructions!

Enter the details of your trip: Place of departure/arrival, date, time, number of travellers, discount cards.

Then choose your rate on the “Results” page and validate.

On the “Shopping Basket” page, check the details and validate your booking.

On the “Personal details” page, choose e-ticket.

Fill in your bank card details and validate;

On the “confirmation” page you will be given a 6 character booking reference.

If you wish, you can print your e-ticket straightaway!

Or

Print it later. You will be sent confirmation of your e-ticket booking (with a summary of your trip) to the e-mail address you entered when you booked.

8How can I cancel my e-ticket?

Where applicable, you may cancel your ticket directly in the "manage my orders”  section on , up until the departure time.

Enter your 6 character reference and the name in which the booking was made, then follow the stages.

You will be sent a message confirming that your booking has been cancelled.

9What are the conditions of use of the e-ticket?

The e-ticket is subject to the SNCF general conditions of Passenger Tariffs and to the general conditions of use accessible from the home page.

The e-ticket is valid only for the person named on it and is non-transferable.

It is only valid for the designated train, date, class and route.

If you wish to board another train,exchange your ticket (if applicable for the chosen rate).

The e-ticket confirmation must be printed on white A4 paper, without changing the font size. Print must be of good quality.

If your e-ticket is damaged, has been lost or is of bad quality, you should print your e-ticket again.

During the journey, you should have with you a valid piece of ID with a photograph (ID card, passport or residence permit) to be presented to SNCF staff if necessary.

SNCF declines responsibility in case of unauthorised use of the e-ticket.

The e-ticket offers the following advantages:
  • You don’t have to wait for your ticket to be delivered
  • You can print your ticket anytime between the moment you book to just before your departure
  • You can re-print your ticket if you lose it.
  • You don’t need to punch your ticket.
  • Where applicable, you can exchange or cancel your e-ticket before the departure. No need to send your ticket to TGV-Europe.com customer services.
